Mohini Handicrafts is situated in Phase-III of the Boranada Industrial Area at plot F-255. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, but this is where all the space is for the kind of work we do. The building is a big block of a place that stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on the roof. Inside, it is mostly open floor space where people sit and work on various crafts. There is always a smell of raw materials in the air, maybe some wood or some fabric depending on what we are doing that week. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby. If you walk in, you will probably just see someone busy with a needle or a chisel. Most of us live nearby and walk or bike to work. It is a quiet group of people, and we mostly just focus on the task at hand. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big shipment, and we all order some food and eat together on the floor. It is not fancy living, but it is honest work. We do not spend money on advertising or shiny signs. We just rely on the work we do to speak for itself. It has been this way for years, and we do not see any reason to change it now.
