Meghraj Dal Mill

Meghraj Dal Mill is located out in the Mathania Industrial Area. We occupy Plot No. 63 and 64, which gives us enough room for the machinery and the bags of raw pulses that come in from the farms. Working in a dal mill means you are always surrounded by the smell of lentils and the constant hum of the grinders. Mathania is known for this kind of work, and we are just one part of that big cycle. We spend our days cleaning, sorting, and processing the dal so it’s ready for the kitchen. It is dusty work, and the machines need a lot of looking after to keep them running smooth. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for a long time. They know exactly how the machines sound when something is a bit off. We don't have a fancy front office; usually, if you come to visit, you’ll find us in the back near the loading area. The industrial area is busy, with trucks coming and going at all hours. We just focus on our plots and try to get the best out of the crops that come in. It’s a straightforward business. We take what the earth gives, clean it up, and send it out. It’s how we’ve always done it here and we don't see much reason to change.
