Mahalaxmi Arts

Our place is out in the Borananda Industrial Area, specifically at E-67 in the Ist Phase. It’s part of the Riico development, so it’s surrounded by other factories and workshops. We do arts work, which sounds a lot more delicate than it actually is. In reality, there is a lot of dust, heavy lifting, and packing crates. We have a fair amount of space, but it always feels full because we have so many different projects going on at the same time. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the morning, so it gets warm early. We have a small office tucked into the corner where we handle the paperwork, but most of the action happens out on the floor. We’ve been here for several years and have seen the industrial area grow quite a bit. There used to be a lot more empty plots around us. The workers here are mostly local guys who have been doing this kind of work their whole lives. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. We just show up, do the work, and make sure the items are ready for the trucks when they arrive. Sometimes the roads around here get pretty bad after the rain, which makes it hard for the pickups, but we manage. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation where we try to stay busy and get things shipped out.
