Leela Export House

We are over at 9 A in the New Nakoda Industrial Area, which is part of the second phase in Basni. Leela Export House is basically a hub for getting goods ready to go overseas. It’s a lot of logistics and checking items over and over again. The building itself is just a regular industrial unit. We don’t have any decorations or anything like that. We mostly care about having enough light to see what we are doing and enough space to stack the crates. The guys who work here are good at what they do, and we’ve known most of them for a long time. Jodhpur can be a tough place to work because of the heat, but we have our fans and our routine. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the shipping agents and the port authorities. It’s a lot of paperwork, which can be a headache sometimes. We just try to stay honest and get things done without making a big fuss. If something is wrong, we fix it. It is a simple way of doing business. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to keep the containers moving out on schedule. Most days end with us making sure the gates are locked and the manifests are signed. We’ve been here for years and we know how the local system works. It is just steady, daily work for all of us.
