Kartik Art & Craft

Our place, Kartik Art & Craft, is over on Chopasni Road. We are in Shop No. 8, which is on the upper ground floor of the Aadeshwar Tower. Being on the upper ground floor means you have to walk up a few steps from the street level, which isn't too bad unless you are carrying heavy boxes. Chopasni Road is a major way through this part of town, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the cars and buses. Aadeshwar Tower is a pretty easy building to spot once you are on the right stretch of road. Inside the shop, it is mostly just us working on different projects. We have shelves lining the walls to hold all the craft supplies and the finished pieces. The floor is concrete and we usually have some scraps laying around that need to be swept up at the end of the day. It is not a corporate office or anything like that. It is just a workshop where we get things done. We spend most of our time here from ten in the morning until late in the evening. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit by the window to use the natural light. It is a practical space for what we do. We don't have fancy furniture, just sturdy tables and some old chairs that have seen better days.
