Italian World

We are over at Plot No. 7 in the Marble Market near Rawatram Nagar. It’s quite close to Dhanwantri Hospital on Pal Road, so it’s not too hard to find us. Despite the name Italian World, we’re just a local spot where we handle all kinds of stone. The market here is always buzzing with people looking for materials, and we’re right in the middle of it. We keep our slabs organized as best as we can, but a stone yard is always going to have its messy corners. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and our afternoons talking to whoever walks in. Sometimes it’s a homeowner, sometimes it’s a contractor who’s in a hurry. We don’t really go in for the big sales pitches. We just show people what’s available on the racks. It can get pretty hot out here on Pal Road, but we’ve got a little shade where we can sit and talk about the measurements. Stone is a natural thing, so every piece is a bit different, which makes the work interesting I suppose. We’ve been here for a while and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a steady job, keeping track of the different marbles and making sure everything is loaded up correctly on the trucks. We just focus on getting the work done and being here when the gates open every morning.
