Indian Handicrafts

Our shop is located inside the Jai Pole Fort, right by the Nagauri Gate. It’s a really interesting spot because of all the history surrounding us. We deal with various handicrafts, so the place is always filled with different textures and colors. You’ll find things made of wood, metal, and fabric piled up on our tables and shelves. It’s not a perfectly organized gallery. Sometimes there are boxes waiting to be unpacked right in the middle of the floor. We get a lot of people walking through because of the fort, but many of our visitors are just locals looking for something specific for their homes. The stone walls of the fort keep the shop a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or have a big marketing team. It is just a few of us who know a bit about how these items are made. We spend a lot of time dusting off the pieces and making sure everything is visible. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the people go through the gate, while other days are a total whirlwind. It’s a unique place to work because you feel the age of the building every day. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique. We just want to offer honest, handmade items to anyone who wanders in. It’s a simple life surrounded by old stone and traditional crafts.
