Dikkey'S Food Products

Our business, Dikkey'S Food Products, is tucked away at 1-D-17 in the Old Housing Board area of Shastri Nagar. This part of the city is mostly houses and families, so it feels very quiet compared to the main market. We chose this spot because it was available and it gives us enough room to do our work without too much trouble. The street is narrow, so when a delivery truck comes, it takes up most of the road for a bit. Our neighbors are nice people who have lived here for twenty or thirty years. We try not to make too much noise with the packing machines. Inside, the walls are painted a simple white and we have shelves lining almost every corner. We make a variety of food items right here on site. It is a lot of manual work, weighing things out and sealing bags one by one. There is no marketing team or fancy offices here, just a few of us wearing aprons and getting our hands dirty. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the steps and wait for it to come back. It gives us a chance to talk about things other than work. We have been here long enough that the mailman doesn't even look at the house number anymore. He just drops the letters at the door. It is a decent place to spend the day working with your hands.
