You can find Chandra Shekher Exports at B-29, D.N.Hatha in the Paota area. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, which makes it a good place to work without too many distractions. We started this business because we wanted to do something on our own. The building is just a regular house that we converted into a workspace and storage area. It’s a bit cramped in some rooms because of all the boxes waiting to be shipped out. We spend a lot of time on the phone with shipping companies and suppliers. Sometimes the internet goes down and we can't send emails, so we just have to wait it out. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We know each other's habits and how to get things done without talking too much. The yard out front is usually filled with crates being loaded or unloaded. It’s not a very pretty sight, but it shows that we’re busy. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just want to get the orders right and make sure they get to where they’re going. It’s a lot of physical work and paperwork, but we’re used to it by now. Paota has been a good home for us and we plan to stay here for a long while yet. There's always work to be done.
