Our setup is in E-106 at M.I.A. Basni II Phase. This is an industrial area, so it’s not really a place for a casual stroll. It’s all warehouses and workshops around here. The roads are a bit rough and there is always a lot of dust from the factories. We have a big gate at the front and a courtyard where we load the trucks. It gets incredibly hot here in Jodhpur, especially in an industrial estate with all the metal roofs. We use big fans to keep the air moving, but it’s still a sweaty job most days. There’s a lot of noise from the nearby units, hammers hitting metal and the sound of saws. We’ve got our office in a small section that we partitioned off, but even there, you can hear everything going on. We don't have any fancy showrooms or glass displays. Everything is practical and meant for work. We keep our tools and materials organized in rows, though it gets a bit chaotic when a big shipment is going out. We know the guards and the other workers in the phase. We usually take our breaks under the shade of the one tree near our entrance. It’s a tough environment but we’ve gotten used to the grit and the noise over the years. We just get on with the task at hand and try to stay cool.
