Dhanurdhara Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Tori Fatehpurdehat in the Rajwara area of Tahrauli, Jhansi. Upendra Kumar is the person in charge of the spot there. This part of Jhansi is very rural and life revolves entirely around the farming seasons. We are not a big corporation with a lot of money to spend on offices. Our setup is very modest and fits in with the rest of the village. We started this because we wanted a way for the local farmers here in Rajwara to have more of a say in how things are done. Most of us have been farming since we were children and it is the only thing we know. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just write down what we do and try to keep things sorted on our own. The heat in Jhansi can be brutal, so we usually do our work in the fields early and then meet up at Upendra’s place later in the day to talk. We are just a group of people who are trying to make sure we can keep our farms going for the next generation. It is a lot of trial and error and we are learning as we go. We are just real people living a real life in the village, trying to do right by our neighbors and our families every single day while we work the land.
