We are over at Shivaji Nagar in Jhansi, specifically at Sandeep Kumar Triphati’s place. It is number 757/24-A. If you know the H.N. Memorial School, we are right near that. It gets pretty loud when the kids are coming out of school, but that is just part of the day here. Jisnu Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically just a group of us farmers who decided to do things together instead of alone. We are not some big company with a lobby or fancy chairs. Most of the time, we are just sitting around talking about the crops or how the rain hasn't been enough lately. Sandeep lets us use his space to keep everything in one spot. Jhansi is a tough place for farming sometimes because of the heat, so having a group helps us feel a bit more secure. We handle all kinds of farm stuff, whatever is in season really. It is a lot of work and most of our hands are usually dirty from being in the fields all morning. We just wanted a name for our group so we chose Jisnu Agro. There isn't much more to it than that. We are just local people from the neighborhood trying to make a living and looking out for each other. Sometimes we have meetings and sometimes we just drink tea and talk about the market prices which are always changing and making things difficult for us in the long run.
