This group is located over in Bela Jhansi, which is part of Mauranipur. Nidhi Patel is the person who helps manage things from her place. We are a producer company made of local farmers around the Jhansi area. It’s a dry place sometimes, and farming here takes a lot of effort every single day. We wanted to have a way to bring our crops together. It’s easier to talk to buyers when there are more of us involved. We don't have a flashy building. It’s just a regular spot in the village where we meet up. Most of us have been working these fields for years, following what our fathers did. We deal with whatever grows best in this part of Uttar Pradesh. Sometimes it's pulses or other grains. We just want to make sure the work we do actually pays off at the end of the season. Being a farmer is never certain. One year the rain is good, the next year it isn't. By forming this company, we feel a bit more prepared for the changes. We’re just regular people from the Bela area.
