We decided to start this company because farming alone was becoming too much of a struggle. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. Our base of operations is just a simple building where we keep our tools and some of our records. Most of our time is spent out in the open, working the ground and keeping an eye on the weather. We grow the crops that are common in this part of the country. It’s not an easy job and there are plenty of days when we wonder why we keep doing it, but it’s what we know. We aren't here to give you a big sales pitch or talk about our mission. We just want to get our seeds in the ground and our harvest to the market. We handle the logistical side of things, like figuring out transportation and storage, which is always a bit of a puzzle. Some of us have been farming since we were kids, and we try to pass that knowledge around to the younger guys in the group. It’s a very basic, honest way to live. We work hard, we talk plainly, and we try to make sure everyone in our little producer company is doing okay.
