You can find our office tucked away in Annex-2 of the General Office over at Tata Steel. It is a bit of a maze back here, and if you are coming for the first time, you might have to ask a few people for directions. We have been based in this spot for ages, handling the rolls and whatever else comes our way. It is not a flashy setup, just a practical space where we can get our heads down and work. The air feels like industrial history, and you can hear the faint sounds of the plant in the distance. We mostly focus on our specific tasks and try not to get distracted by everything else going on around the site. Some days are slower than others, but there is always a report to finish or a call to take. The furniture is a bit dated, and the lighting flickers occasionally, but it works for us. We are not trying to impress anyone with a sleek entrance. We just provide what is needed and keep the wheels turning. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know each other’s habits. It is a bit like a second home for some of us, even with all the grease and noise. We just do the job that is expected of us, day in and day out. It is straightforward work that requires a bit of patience and a lot of practical knowledge.
