Tata Steel Limited

Our office is located at 18A, Bidhan Path in Bhatia Basti, which is part of the Kadma area here in Jamshedpur. It’s a bit of a walk from the main Ashok Path, but most people find us eventually. We’ve got a small sign out front, though it’s seen better days. Inside, it’s mostly just us and our computers, trying to keep track of everything happening with Tata Steel Limited in this sector. The office layout is a bit cramped because we’ve added more desks over the years as the workload grew. We don't really have a "corporate culture" per se; we’re more like a group of neighbors who happen to work for the same big company. Most of us live nearby, so the commute is just a quick walk or a cycle ride. We know the local shops and where to get the best snacks for the afternoon break. The work can be repetitive, dealing with logistics and site reports, but it’s important. We try to be honest about what we can get done in a day. If a shipment is late or a report is delayed, we don't make excuses, we just handle it. It’s a very grounded way to work. 831005 is a good area to be based in, and we’ve become a part of the daily rhythm of Bhatia Basti. We just do our thing every day and go home.
