Our place is over in Chhota Govindpur. If you know the area, we are quite close to the Tata Motors Worth Division. Being near such a big factory means there is always a lot of heavy vehicles and industrial activity going on around us. We are located in the Tehsil and we have been working with steel for a long time. The yard can get pretty messy with scraps and offcuts, but that is the nature of the steel business. It’s a loud environment because of the metal hitting metal, and you definitely need to watch where you step. We don't have a polished office with air conditioning. Instead, we have a small cabin where we keep the books and take a seat when things slow down. The sun can be pretty brutal on the metal during the day, making everything hot to the touch. We wear thick gloves and just get on with it. People come to us when they need something specific for their builds. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. Word of mouth usually brings people to Chhota Govindpur to find us. It’s hard work and it’s dirty, but there is something satisfying about seeing the stacks of steel ready to go. We close up when the sun goes down and start all over again the next morning. It is a tough trade but we have been at it for years and know our way around.
