National Metal Industries

Out here in Jamnagar, specifically in the Udyognagar area, you'll find us at Shed No. 394/b. The company name is National Metal Industries. We are tucked away in Gidc - 1, near Shankar Tekri. It’s an old industrial neighborhood with lots of history. The walls of the shed have seen a lot of metal pass through over the years. We handle things as they come. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of metal hitting metal or engines humming. We like being in Jamnagar because this is where the industry is. Our shed, 394/b, isn't the biggest on the block, but we make it work. We have our routines. Coffee in the morning, then checking the machines. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just work with metal. The air smells like oil and iron. Most of us have been working here for years. We know the layout of the Gidc like the back of our hands. If you are looking for National Metal Industries, you just look for the row of sheds in Phase 1. Sometimes the rain leaks a little through the roof, but we just move the gear. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation. No bells or whistles. We just stay focused on the tasks we have for the week. It’s an honest way to spend the day in the shop.
