Ajay Metal Products

Our workshop is at number 80 in the GIDC, over in the Shanker Tekari area of Udyonagar, Jamnagar. If you know Jamnagar, you know this is where a lot of the metal work happens. Ajay Metal Products is just one of many shops in the area, but we’ve been here long enough to know the ropes. We work with brass and other metals mostly. It’s loud, there are sparks sometimes, and everyone’s hands are usually a bit dirty by the end of the shift. We don't have a big fancy sign or a receptionist. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just see someone at a lathe or a bench. We’ve got a small group of guys who know how to handle the tools. We don't talk much while we're working because of the noise, but we get the job done. Jamnagar can get really hot, and the metal makes it even hotter, but we’re used to it by now. We focus on the orders we get and try not to overcomplicate things. The shop floor is crowded with materials and half-finished parts, and that’s just how we like it. It means we’re busy. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just take metal and turn it into whatever the customer asked for. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us going day after day. That’s the way it is here at Shanker Tekari. We just open up the shutters in the morning and get to it.
