Haria Metals

Our shop is located at Plot No. 21/2/14 on Indira Road, right in the heart of the Shankar Tekri area. Jamnagar is famous for its brass and metal industries, and Haria Metals is right in the middle of all that action in Udyognagar. We’ve been operating out of this same spot for many years. The street outside is always busy with handcarts and trucks moving heavy metal around. We mostly deal with scrap and raw materials that other factories need. Inside, it’s mostly just piles of different metal parts and large bins. It’s not very organized to look at, but we know exactly where everything is located. The air usually smells like burnt metal from the nearby foundries. We spend our days weighing stuff on the big scales and talking to traders. It’s a tough business and you really have to know your different alloys. We don’t have an office with air conditioning, just a ceiling fan and some wooden stools. My uncle started this place and now I handle the daily work. Customers come in looking for specific weights or types of brass for their own projects. We just keep it honest and do the trade. Sometimes we have to wait for the market prices to move before we decide to sell. It’s a very local way of doing business. You get to know everyone on the street after a while. We are just here at Plot No. 21/2/14 doing our work every day.
