Sak Rolling Mills Manufacturing Co.

We are located on Patel Marg, where Sak Rolling Mills Manufacturing Co. has been operating for a while. The street is usually lined with trucks waiting to load or unload things. Inside the mill, it gets pretty hot, especially when the machines are running at full speed. It’s not the cleanest place, as there’s always a bit of metal dust or grease around, but we keep it as tidy as we can. We’ve got a small office section partitioned off from the main floor where the noise isn’t quite as bad. That’s where we handle the paperwork and take calls. Most of us have been working here for years and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Patel Marg isn’t exactly a quiet spot, but it’s great for business because it’s easy for the big lorries to get in and out. We don’t use any high-tech systems for everything; we still use a lot of manual checks to make sure things are right. The staff here are mostly locals who walk or bike to work. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just the owner and the workers putting in their time. We share a laugh when we can, usually over a cup of tea during the afternoon break. It’s a straightforward life here. We focus on the production and making sure the machines are kept in good shape for the next day. It is a noisy place, but we find our rhythm in it after a while.
