Rekha Saree Center

Our shop is in the Sidhnath Building, right at number 33 on Digvijay Plot. Most people know the area because of the Police Chowki on Pavan Chakki Road. We are directly across from the Oswal Hostel, so we see a lot of students walking back and forth all day. It is a lively part of town. The saree center has been here for quite some time. We have shelves full of different sarees, stacked up according to color and material. It takes a lot of effort to keep them all folded neatly. Every time someone wants to see something, we have to pull them out and then put them all back again. It is a lot of work for the arms. The building itself is older, and the entrance can be a bit narrow. We have a small counter where we talk to customers and show them what we have in stock. It isn't a huge place, but we make the most of the space. The Police Chowk Road is always busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is headed home. We keep the shop open late to catch that crowd. It is a simple life here, just selling sarees and watching the world go by from our front door. We know the regular faces and the local traffic patterns well. There is usually someone popping in to ask for a specific pattern.
