Dosa House

Dosa House is in Jamnagar. Specifically, Shop No G/12. We are in the Green Avenue complex. It’s on Ranjit Sagar Road. The Green City Area is growing fast these days. There are always new buildings going up around us. We have been in this shop for a while. The rent goes up sometimes but we stay put. 361001 is the pin code. We start the day by checking the batter. If it didn't ferment right because the night was too cold, the whole day is a mess. We get our vegetables from the market nearby every morning. The potatoes have to be boiled and mashed just right for the filling. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us. We talk to the regulars about the weather or the local cricket scores. It’s a pretty normal life. The complex has other shops too, so it stays lively. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the backup. That’s just how it is here. We try to keep the tables wiped down. People come in from the road and bring in a lot of dust on their shoes. We just keep the rags moving. It isn't a glamorous job but it pays the bills for our families. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are on Ranjit Sagar Road. They see the sign and come in when they are hungry for something hot.
