Jay Somnath Parotha House

This place is out on the Jamnagar Rajkot Highway. We are near Laiyara Village, which is a bit of a distance from the main city center of Jamnagar. It is a different kind of life out here compared to the city shops. Most of our customers are truck drivers or families traveling between towns. It can get a bit lonely late at night when the highway goes quiet, but then a bus might pull in and suddenly we are all working fast again. We focus on parothas because that is what people want when they are on a long trip. It fills you up and stays with you. The air out here is a bit clearer than in town, but the highway noise is always there in the background. We have a basic setup, just enough for people to sit comfortably and eat. The lights are bright so people can see us from the road at night. It’s funny how you recognize the same trucks passing by every week. We don't have a big staff, so everyone does a bit of everything, from cleaning to cooking. It’s a steady way to live, just serving whoever happens to be driving past Laiyara. We don’t have fancy signs or anything, just the name and the smell of fresh food to bring people in. It works out okay for us and keeps us going day after day on this long road.
