Everest Metal Industries is tucked away in the G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate at Shanker Tekari. Our unit is C-2/43. Jamnagar is famous for this kind of work, and we’re just one of the many shops here dealing with metal every day. It’s a gritty job. There’s always the sound of hammers or machines in the background. We spend our days dealing with raw materials and turning them into whatever is needed. The yard usually has stacks of metal waiting to be processed. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the equipment and half-finished parts laying around. We don’t have an HR department or a PR firm. It’s just us and the guys who know how to work the machines. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work, but we push through it anyway. Most of the people around here have known each other for years, so it’s a bit like a small community in the middle of all this industrial noise. We get our hands dirty and we don't mind it. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from dawn until we lock up the gate at night. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time, watching the estate grow and change while we just keep doing our thing. The metal gets hot under the sun but we keep at it.
