Sanfort School

Our place is located at 384-A in Sector 2 of Channi Himmat. It’s a nice enough part of Jammu, and the 180001 area is pretty familiar to most people living here. We’ve turned this building into a space for the school, so it has a bit of a lived-in feel. It’s not a massive institution, just a local spot where we handle the daily routine of teaching. The rooms are filled with the usual school stuff, and we try to keep things as tidy as possible, though with kids around, that doesn't always last long. The neighborhood is mostly houses, so it's not as loud as being in the middle of a commercial market. We see a lot of parents from the nearby blocks walking their kids over in the morning. Our staff is mostly local people who know the area well. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. When you walk in, you're pretty much right in the middle of things. Sometimes the weather in Jammu gets really cold, so we have to make sure everyone stays warm inside. During the summer, it's the opposite. We just go through the school year, day by day, focusing on the work at hand. It’s a simple, practical setup without any grand gestures. We're just here in Channi Himmat doing what we do. The gate is usually open a little before classes start. There’s a friendly dog that hangs out near the entrance.
