Humanity Public School

Humanity Public School is located in Ward No 8 over in Basis Kalan. We are out in Bari Brahmana, which is a bit of a distance from the main city part of Jammu. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, except when school is in session and the kids are out. The building sits on a decent piece of land and we’ve been here for many years now. We see the same faces every day, both the students and their parents who live in the surrounding villages and wards. Most of us who work here grew up nearby or have lived in Jammu our whole lives. We don't have any big corporate backers or anything like that. It’s just a local school where we try to teach the kids what they need to know for their exams and their future. The classrooms can get a bit hot in the summer, but the ceiling fans keep things moving well enough. We spend a lot of time on paperwork and making sure the registers are filled out correctly every single morning. It's a lot of routine. In the mornings, you can hear the kids reciting their lessons from the street outside. During the breaks, they’re all over the place playing in the dirt or running around. We just keep a close eye on things and make sure everyone is where they should be. It’s a practical place, nothing too fancy, just a regular school for the local kids in Basis Kalan.
