New Era Mother High School

If you walk down Lane Number 14 in Nanak Nagar, you’ll see New Era Mother High School right there near Shivaji Chowk. We are located in Section 11, which is a busy part of Jammu. The school started because there were so many families moving into this area and they needed a place for their children to go. It’s not a huge campus, but we use every bit of space we have in this building to make it work. Every morning, the street gets crowded with rickshaws and parents dropping kids off at the gate. Our rooms are filled with the sound of lessons and kids talking over each other. We try to keep things organized, even though it gets a bit chaotic when the final bell rings in the afternoon. The walls have some drawings on them from past projects, and the floors get scuffed up pretty quick with all the running around. We’ve been part of this community for a while now, so we know most of the neighbors by name. It’s a regular school day for us, starting with the assembly and ending with everyone rushing out the door to get home. We spend a lot of time making sure the books are in order and the playground area is clean enough for the next day. There isn't much to say other than we work hard to keep the place running day after day. It’s just us teachers and the local families.
