Shingar Box Mfg Co.

We’ve been operating Shingar Box Mfg Co. out of this spot at 12-Str 6 in Shivaji Ngr for quite some time now. Danishmanda is where we do all the work. It’s basically a workshop where we make boxes for all different kinds of things. Some are for jewelry, some for fancy gifts, just depends on what someone asks for. It’s a noisy place because of the machines and the cutting, but we’re used to it by now. The floor is usually covered in scraps of paper and cardboard by noon. We aren't some big factory with hundreds of people. It’s just a handful of us making sure the corners are straight and the glue holds properly. Sometimes we run out of a specific color of paper and have to wait for a delivery, which slows things down, but we manage somehow. People find us because they need packaging that doesn't fall apart. We don't have a front office or a reception desk. You just walk into the workshop area and talk to us. It’s dusty and smells like glue most days. Shivaji Ngr has a lot of small businesses like ours, so we fit right in. We just focus on getting the orders done and sent out on time. It’s hard work, and our hands are always dirty with ink or paste, but that’s just part of making things. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it works for us. We just keep the machines running and try to get everything finished before we head home.
