Baithak Veg Dhaba

Our dhaba is Shop Number 8/9 on the main road in Jalandhar City. It is in the Johal Market area, which is near Cool Road and the New Colony. Being a veg dhaba, we get a lot of families and people who just want a simple meal without any fuss. The main road is always loud with traffic, so there is never a quiet moment at Baithak Veg Dhaba. We open up early to get everything cleaned and the vegetables prepped for the day. It’s a lot of peeling and cutting before the first customer even walks in. Jalandhar 144001 is a busy place to be. The tables are basic and we don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls. It’s just a place to eat. I spend most of my day moving between the kitchen and the tables. Sometimes the market gets so crowded that it’s hard for people to park their cars, but they still find their way to us. We serve the usual things you would expect at a dhaba. The kitchen can get quite hot when the stoves are all going, but you get used to it after a while. It’s a straightforward business and we have been at this spot for a while now. Most of our customers are locals from the New Colony or people working in Johal Market. We just keep the food fresh and the plates clean. It is what it is.
