ARK Vaishno Dhaba

We are over at Byepass Chowk, right near Maqsudan Chowk in Jalandhar City. It is a spot where a lot of roads meet, so we get plenty of travelers passing through. Being a dhaba, we keep things very basic. There are no fancy tablecloths or anything like that here. We just have the benches and tables for people to sit down and eat. The kitchen is always going, especially during the lunch and dinner hours when the trucks start pulling over. Jalandhar can get really hot, so we try to keep the place as breezy as we can. We have been at this location for a while now and the locals know us well. We see a lot of the same drivers every week who stop here on their route. It is a lot of hard work, mostly standing on your feet and dealing with the heat from the stoves. We don't have a huge menu, just the usual things you would expect to find at a Vaishno dhaba in this part of Punjab. The atmosphere is usually quite loud with people talking and the sound of the traffic from the bypass. We just try to keep the floors swept and the food moving. It is a simple life running a place like this. We open early and close late. That is just how we do it here at the chowk.
