Royal Food Corner

This corner of Rama Mandi gets really busy, especially near Nagalshama Chowk. We are right there on Hosiarpur Road. It started as a small idea to serve some snacks to the people passing by. Jalandhar traffic can be a mess so we get a lot of drivers stopping for a quick tea or something to eat. The shop isn't fancy. We have a few benches and a counter where we keep the daily specials. Usually, it’s just me and two other guys working the fryers. We don’t use a lot of fancy machines. Everything is done by hand. The smell of frying onions usually brings people in. Sometimes we run out of stuff by the evening if the crowd is too big. We don’t really have a fixed closing time, just whenever the food finishes. It gets dusty because of the road being so close, but we clean up as much as we can. It’s just a regular food corner. We know most of the shopkeepers nearby by their first names. They come over for their lunch breaks almost every day. It’s not the kind of place you come for a candlelit dinner. It’s where you come when you’re hungry and need something fast. We just keep it simple and honest. There is always someone here to talk to if you have a minute to spare while waiting.
