Rang Mahal

Rang Mahal is located in Sco 4 of the Us Plaza Building, which is right on Nakodar Road near the B P Petrol Pump. Being near the petrol pump means there is always a lot of traffic and people stopping by. Our space in the plaza is not huge, but we make the most of it by stacking things neatly. The building itself is one of those typical concrete structures with stairs that get a bit slippery when it rains. We spend a lot of time looking out at the cars going by while we wait for the next person to walk through the door. It is a bright space because of the big windows, which helps since we deal with a lot of colors and items that need good lighting. Sometimes the parking out front is a nightmare, so we have to tell people to park a bit further down the road. We have a small counter where we do all the billing and a couple of chairs for people to sit if they are tired. It is mostly just a few of us working here, trying to keep the place looking decent. We don't do much advertising; mostly people just see the sign when they are getting gas or driving to work. The evenings are usually our busiest time when the office workers are heading home. We close up around eight and head back to our own houses, ready to do it all again the next morning.
