You can find Haveli - The Traditional Punjabi Veg. Restaurant right along the G.T. Road. We are part of The Heritage Village on that stretch of the Jalandhar-Phagwara Highway. It’s a busy road with a lot of trucks and cars passing by all the time. Our place is built to look a bit traditional because that’s the style we went with. Being on the highway means we see a lot of people traveling between cities. We only serve vegetarian food here. The 144001 area is pretty well-known because of the highway traffic. It's not a quiet spot, but it’s easy to pull over and grab something to eat. We have plenty of space inside for families. The kitchen is always going because someone is always hungry on a long drive. We try to keep the atmosphere feeling like an old-style Punjabi place. It’s a lot of work maintaining a spot this size on such a major road. Some days the highway is packed, and other days it's just a steady flow. We don’t use any fancy systems, just the way we’ve always done things. It’s a big building, so you can’t really miss it when you’re driving toward Phagwara. We just stay focused on the cooking and making sure the place is open when people need a break from the road. It's just a regular part of the highway life for us.
