Dhiraj Da Dhaba

Our little dhaba is sitting right at SCF 71 in Urban Estate, Phase 1. If you're looking for the Punjab and Sind Bank, we’re just a few steps away from there. Jalandhar can be a busy place, and this part of the estate gets its fair share of traffic throughout the day. We start pretty early here, getting the kitchen ready and making sure the stove is hot. It’s a basic setup with simple tables and chairs, nothing like those big restaurants in the city center. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the bank or folks living in the nearby blocks who don’t feel like cooking at home. We don't have a massive team, just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. You’ll usually hear the clatter of plates and the sound of someone calling out an order. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the kitchen is always busy. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long for their meal. It’s a bit loud sometimes when the lunch crowd hits, but that’s just how it is in a dhaba. We just do our work, serve the food, and lock up when the day is done. No big fuss about it, just a local spot for local people where the tea is always boiling and the tandoor is rarely cold.
