You’ll find Dawat Junction over at Shop No-11 in Jalandhar Cantt. We are right outside the Anaj Mandi in Mohalla No-11. It’s a pretty lively area, especially during the market hours when all the trucks are moving around. Our shop isn't very big, so things can get a little tight when more than five or six people come in at once. We’ve got a small kitchen in the back where we do all the prep work. My uncle started this place years ago, and we’ve just kept it going the same way. We don't have a printed menu most of the time; we just tell people what we’ve made for the day. It’s a very local vibe here in the Cantt. You might see some soldiers stopping by or workers from the mandi taking a break. We use a lot of local ingredients because the market is right there. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use candles, which makes it hard to see, but people don't seem to mind much. We aren't trying to be a five-star place. We just want to serve a hot meal to whoever walks through the door. It’s a bit dusty because of the location near the grain market, but we try our best to keep the tables wiped down. If you're near Mohalla No-11, stop in and say hello to us.
