Chawla Vaishno Dhaba

Our dhaba is right on Nurmahal Road in Nakoder, directly across from the Allahabad Bank. It is a spot that many people pass when they are driving through Jalandhar. We have been here for a while, and the building shows its age a bit, but we like it that way. It feels like a real roadside place where you can just pull up and eat without any fuss. The road outside is always noisy with trucks and tractors going by, which is just part of the life here. Inside, we have the basic setup—simple chairs and tables that have seen a lot of use. We focus on vegetarian food, keeping everything clean and honest. The kitchen is always busy with someone chopping onions or stirring a big pot of gravy. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because people come here for the food, not the wallpaper. Usually, the regulars just walk in and sit at their favorite table without even looking at a menu. We know the truck drivers who stop by every week on their route. It is hard work, especially when the weather is hot, but we have a good team of guys who have been with us for years. We just try to keep the food hot and the water glasses full for whoever walks through the door.
