Chawla Since 1960

Our place has been around for a long time. The name says since 1960, so you can guess how many years that's been. We are located at Booth No 112-113 in Chhoti Baradari Part 1. Jalandhar is a busy city, and being near Pims Medical College in Garha means we see a lot of different people. Some are students, some work at the hospital, and others are just locals living nearby. We open up in the morning and stay busy until late. The building itself is just a regular booth, nothing too big. Inside, it's pretty straightforward. We have been doing this for decades, so we have a routine that hasn't changed much. The staff knows what they are doing. It's not a corporate chain where everything is scripted. We just talk to people like normal. Sometimes it gets crowded and you have to wait a bit, but that's part of it. We are right there in the 144022 area. People know us by word of mouth mostly. We don't do much advertising. We just show up, cook, and serve. It’s a lot of hours on our feet, but seeing people come back after all these years is nice. It’s a bit of a landmark for some folks around here who grew up eating our food. We just keep the fire going and stay ready for the next customer who walks through the door looking for a meal.
