Chawla'S Since 1960 Veg Non Veg

Chawla'S has been around Jalandhar City for a long time, since 1960 actually. We are located at 112/113 Chotti Baradari, right near Prince Medical College. It is a spot most people in town know pretty well. We serve both veg and non-veg dishes. The kitchen is always a bit chaotic, especially during the dinner rush when things get moving. You can hear the pans clanging and the staff shouting orders back and forth. It is a very lively place. The walls have some old photos hanging up, but we are not big on decorating things. People come here for the food, not to look at the wallpaper. We see families who have been coming to this same spot for generations. It is nice to see kids who used to come with their parents now bringing their own children. The tables are usually full, and sometimes there is a wait out front on the sidewalk. We try to get everyone seated as fast as we possibly can. Being near the medical college means we get a lot of hungry students and doctors too. It is a real mix of everyone. The street outside is always crowded with scooters and cars honking. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just cook what we know and keep the doors open for the regulars. It is hard work, standing on your feet all day by the hot stoves, but it is what we do. If you are in Jalandhar, you will find us.
