Vikash Tent House

You can find Vikash Tent House at Amer Nangal Mod Kunda, right near the Delhi Bypass. It is a very busy area with all the trucks and tourists heading towards the fort or moving along the highway. We are situated in a spot that sees a lot of traffic every single day. Working near the bypass means there is always noise and a bit of smoke from the exhausts. We handle everything from the basic tent setups to some of the bigger decorations people want these days. The Kunda area has changed a lot since we first started. We have a lot of heavy lifting to do, especially with those large bamboo poles and the thick canvas sheets. My crew is mostly local guys who have been with me for a few seasons. We don't really have a set routine because every job is at a different place. One day we are near the mod and the next we are halfway down the bypass. We try to keep our gear as clean as possible, but being near the main road makes it tough. It’s a lot of physical work, loading and unloading the vehicles. We don't bother with fancy slogans. We just show up and put the tents up where they are needed. It is a rough and ready kind of life but we are used to it.
