Sharma Tent House

People around Shastri Nagar and Ram Nagar 150 know us because we’ve been around for a good while now. Running Sharma Tent House isn't exactly a quiet job. Most days start pretty early when the trucks need loading or we have to go check on a site. It gets dusty and hot especially when we are out there hammering stakes into the ground or pulling heavy fabric over the poles. Sometimes the weather doesn't help at all and we have to move faster if it looks like rain might come. We spend a lot of time just organizing chairs and making sure the light bulbs aren't burnt out before they go to a function. It's mostly physical work, lugging stuff back and forth from the storage space. My clothes usually end up dirty by noon. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just the space here where we keep the poles and the curtains. People just walk in when they need something for a wedding or a small gathering at home. We try to keep everything tidy but with all the iron pipes and heavy cloth, it usually looks a bit cluttered. It is just the way it is when you’re dealing with this kind of equipment every day. We know the roads around here quite well since we are always moving things around. It's a living and it keeps us busy through the seasons.
