Jai Bharat Tent House

Down on Lalkothi Main Road, you can find us at Jai Bharat Tent House. Our work is mostly outdoors, setting things up and taking them down again. The shop is more of a base where we keep all the poles, fabric, and chairs. It’s a lot of heavy stuff to move around. When there’s a wedding or a big gathering nearby, we are usually the ones hauling the equipment. It’s hard work and depends a lot on the weather. If it rains, we have a lot more to worry about. We’ve been doing this in the Lalkothi area for quite a long time. People around here know who we are. We don't really have a fancy office because we are usually out at a site somewhere. When we are at the shop, we’re usually checking the tents for holes or cleaning the chairs. It’s a cycle of loading the truck, setting up, waiting, and then bringing it all back. Sometimes the days are very long, especially during the peak season when everyone wants to get married at once. We don't use any high-tech gear, just sturdy hands and a bit of teamwork. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and it keeps us active. The main road is always busy, so we have to be quick with the loading so we don't block the traffic. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done.
