Suraj Tent House

Suraj Tent House is located right by the Khatipura Circle. If you live around here, you have probably seen our trucks loaded with chairs and poles driving around. We provide all the things people need for a big gathering, like a marriage or a community feast. We have a large stock of those heavy metal chairs, long wooden tables, and the big colorful cloths we use to make the tents. The location near the circle is good because it allows us to reach different neighborhoods without getting stuck too much in the inner city traffic. Our warehouse is a bit of a maze with all the pipes and bundles of fabric stacked up high. We spend a lot of our time between events checking the equipment, washing the seat covers, and making sure the decorative lights are still working properly. I have a small team of workers who have been with me for years and they can set up a whole stage in just a couple of hours. The work is physically demanding and we are often out in the heat for most of the day. We also have to go back late at night after the party is over to pack everything up and bring it back to the warehouse. We do not really spend money on fancy marketing or flyers. Most of our work comes because someone saw what we did at another event and asked for our number. It is just basic, honest work that keeps us going year after year at the circle. (260 words)
