Vijay Tent Decorators

Vijay Tent Decorators is based out of Malviya Nagar at 11/166. Our work is mostly done outside, but this is where we keep all the equipment. The warehouse is full of long bamboo poles, rolls of colorful fabric, and stacks of plastic chairs that have seen a lot of parties. Running a tent business means our schedule is never really the same. Some weeks we are up all night setting up for a big function, and other times we are just sitting in the shop repairing torn sheets or painting the iron frames. Malviya Nagar is a nice area, but our street gets a bit narrow when we are trying to load the big trucks with all the wedding gear. The staff here are mostly guys who don't mind the heavy lifting. We spend a lot of time outside in the sun, so we are all pretty tanned and tired by the end of the season. At the shop, we have a small desk where we talk to people about their events. We don’t have glossy brochures, just some old photos of the stages we’ve built before. It is hard work, especially when it is windy and we have to make sure the tents don’t blow over, but we just get on with it. We have been at 11/166 for quite some time now, just doing our part for the local celebrations.
