Vijay Pan Bhandar

If you are driving along Agra Road or Mall Road 141, you might see us. Vijay Pan Bhandar has been here for years. It is just a small corner spot. We have jars of sweets and different kinds of tobacco and betel leaves lined up. The traffic on the road is always moving fast, so people usually just pull over for a minute. We make the pan right there in front of you. My hands are usually stained from the lime and the juices. It is a small shop, not much room to move around inside. We have some cold drinks in the fridge too. Most days are the same, just a lot of people stopping by on their way to work or going home. Mall Road gets quite dusty in the summer. We try to keep the glass clean but it's hard with all the cars going by. There’s no seating here, you just stand on the pavement. People know us for being here at this specific turn. We don't have a website or anything like that. The sign above the door is a bit faded from the sun. It’s a simple life running a pan shop. We see all sorts of people every day. Some stay to talk about the weather and others are in a big hurry. It’s just how it is. We are just part of the daily routine on Agra Road.
