Our place is in Manwa Ji Ka Bagh, right on M. D. Road in Jaipur. It is a pretty well-known spot in the Jawahar Nagar area. There is a garden area nearby, so we get a bit of greenery even though the main road is always so busy. We handle various food items and keep things moving. Every day feels a bit different. Some days are very slow and we just sit around and talk. Other days we are so busy we do not even have time to eat a proper lunch. Jaipur gets incredibly hot in the summer, as everyone knows. Our storeroom stays relatively cool because the walls are quite thick. We have a lot of regular customers who come by every week. We know their names and exactly what they usually need for their shops. It makes the day go faster when you are talking to people you know. We do not have any big signs or bright lights outside. Just the name on the door is enough. Inside, it is mostly just shelves and a small desk for keeping the accounts. We use a lot of recycled boxes for our packing. It makes sense for us. My nephew helps with the local deliveries on his old scooter. He knows all the shortcuts to avoid the traffic jams on M. D. Road. We just try to get the orders right and keep the business going.
