Tikam Das Mehu Mal Tent House

The shop has been in Goyal Bazar in Sanganer for a long time. Tikam Das Mehu Mal Tent House is a name that people around here recognize because we’ve been around the market for so many years. The bazar is always crowded, so getting our items through the streets is a challenge every single day. We deal with everything from the basic wooden stages to the simple chairs you see at every local function. The building we work out of is old, with high ceilings and walls that could use a new coat of paint. We don't really worry about the look of the office, as long as the tents are clean and the poles are sturdy. My uncle usually sits at the front, talking to customers and writing down dates in a thick yellow register. It’s a noisy place with the sounds of the Sanganer market right outside the door. We have a few regular helpers who have been with us for a decade. They know exactly how to load the cart so nothing falls off. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our work in Goyal Bazar and make sure we get the stuff to the right place on time. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, but it’s the life we’ve always known in this part of town. Our family has been doing this for several generations now.
