Sunita Electric Decorators is based in Jhotwara Sahkar Nagar, specifically at Khatipura Road A 5. Our place is usually a bit of a mess with coils of wire and different kinds of bulbs scattered around. We spend a lot of time testing strings of lights to make sure every single bulb is working before we take them out to a customer's house. During the festival season or when there are a lot of weddings, we are hardly ever at the shop. We are usually out on ladders or climbing up poles to hang decorations. It is tiring work and your hands get quite dirty from handling all the cables and tapes. We have all sorts of lights, from the small fairy ones to the big bright floodlights. People come to us when they want to make their house look a bit more festive for a party or a holiday. We don't have a fancy showroom. It is more of a storeroom where we keep all the gear organized as best as we can. Sometimes a wire breaks or a bulb pops, and we have to sit there with a soldering iron to fix it. It is just practical work that needs a bit of patience. We’ve been in this part of Jhotwara for a while now, so most people around here know where to find us when they need some extra light.
