Siddhi Soya Industries

Started Siddhi Soya Industries a few years ago. We are right here at C Scheme, on Chitranjan Marg H-2. It's a busy part of the city but we like it here. Every morning the machines start up and we begin processing the soya. It gets a bit noisy in the back when everything is running at once. My brother and I manage most of the work together. We deal with local suppliers for the beans and try to keep things moving as much as we can. The weather makes a big difference in how the processing goes, especially in the humid months when everything feels sticky. Sometimes people stop by just to ask what we are making in there. We spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment because that’s just how it is with food stuff. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. Just a work space where we get the job done. We’ve had some good days and some where the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait for it to come back. Most of the people around here know us by now. We don't really do much advertising or marketing. People just find us or hear about us from their neighbors. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting heavy bags and checking the temperatures. We try to keep things organized but when it's busy, there are crates everywhere. That's just how the industry is. We've stayed at H-2 because it’s a good spot for deliveries to come in and out.
