Shri Kali Maa Daal Mills

You’ll find Shri Kali Maa Daal Mills over in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area on Road 1D, specifically at unit D-191. This is a purely industrial setup where we process different types of lentils. The sound of the grading and cleaning machines is something you get used to after a while, though it’s quite loud when you first walk in. We receive big shipments of raw pulses from the local markets and then we have to sort them out before they get packaged. It’s a dusty place, as you can imagine with all those grains being moved around, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the shift. The mill has been running at this location for a long time. The industrial area is always full of trucks and workers moving about, so there’s a lot of energy around here. We have a small office tucked away near the front gate where we keep track of the stock and handle the paperwork. It’s mostly manual labor, with the guys stacking the heavy jute bags high up against the warehouse walls. Some days we have power issues which can be a real pain because it stops the whole production line. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just the number on the gate. It’s a straightforward operation where we just focus on getting the work done and the orders out to the local shops and distributors on time.
